Guatemala

In Guatemala City, Mount Zion International School of Ministry is sending teams of interns and alumni to reach the lost souls and encourage the Body of Christ. The team’s mission is to evangelize and disciple those in Guatemala who are without Christ, having no hope, and without God.

They do this by:

  • conducting and assisting in a feeding program
  • doing house visitations
  • leading medical clinics
  • leading open-air evangelistic meetings
  • discipling youth by leading discipleship groups in various churches
  •  doing street evangelism

Testimonies:

"It is an honor and privilege to be here and serve the people of Guatemala! If I can sum it up I have seen the simplicity of Christ in everything that we say and do here. It is all about loving the Lord and loving our neighbors as ourselves! We have wonderful leaders that seek the Lord and they have been awesome with us, giving us time to grow and adjust to things here. I have seen the Holy Spirit move in such awesome ways; it is those types of experiences you read about in books! We have seen whole households reconciled with the Lord and the Lord heal them of pain they suffered in the churches they attended. We have seen people get saved in such awesome ways, and something the Lord is definitely establishing here is the need for discipleship! There is such a great need, for truly the harvest is ripe and the Lord has few laborers! I truly know that we are entering into the labors of others before us as the scriptures say. We are just part of something vast the Lord is doing in Guatemala!! It is so wonderful, and I know the Lord has and is changing me since I have been here!"

"God is so faithful. His presence is always there, touching those we are ministering to and touching us... As I walk in simple obedience to Him, He will touch people. HE HAS BEEN FAITHFUL! At one youth group a young homeless man who had just come to that church that day, got saved. At another, one youth had just lost his older brother to gang violence and another boy had an older brother who was the head of one the big gangs in that area, but God touched them. They were weeping at the end of the service as the brothers of our team gathered around them to pray. God is moving."

"I am so awed at each church or wherever we minister, God gives us exactly what we need. Though we may be teaching basically the same thing, He knows the needs of the people there and HE meets them. It is nothing to do with us, we are just His vessels. That has been so impressed upon me lately. Though I may feel very weak and incapable in areas, it is okay, because it is not about me; it is about God being glorified. As I let Him have His way in me, freely, whatever He wants, He will be. The time here has been great. Just to see God working through us and amongst us is humbling and beautiful. The pastors that we work alongside are very provoking. It is truly an honor to be here and help hold up their hands for this time."
