Cork

Donnybrook Pentecostal Church | corkchurch.com | Testimonial

Donnybrook Pentecostal Church was founded by Reverend Nick Cassidy in 1996. Located in the heart of Cork City, Ireland, they are a Christ-centered church with a large congregation comprised of more than 20 nationalities. A major emphasis of the church is reaching the lost for Christ with a particular heart for the poor, widowed and down trodden. As a church they yearn for intimacy with Christ and hunger for the presence of God.

The volunteer alumni and interns assist with running and organizing different ministries and events as well as helping with the general maintenance of the church. They prepare Sunday school lessons, participate in the weekly Kids Club and pre-teen ministries. They show the love of Christ to each child and teach them about God. They are also involved with the ever growing youth ministry. Other areas where they assist are organizing and running weekly and quarterly church meetings, planning events such as youth Bible studies and youth weekends. The interns also assist in the new believer classes, nursing home outreach and weekly street evangelism. Recently the church has helped to support the running of a Bereavement Coffee Morning for those who are affected by suicide (note: Cork has the highest suicide rate in Ireland, and one of the highest in Europe). The interns attend this ministry to reach out to the hurt and broken.

Those who have come have grown and been blessed during their time here. We rejoice to see how they have gone on in their walk with God and service, as God has led them.

Ballybunion

Ballybunion Christian Church | Testimonial

Ballybunion is a seaside village located in southwest Ireland. This community and many of the surrounding areas have been without a Gospel witness for many years. The hearts of the people are caught in religious tradition and routine. In 2008 Pastor Adam Field, a Mount Zion alumnus, and his wife Ashley, were called to minister among these people through weekly Bible studies, prayer meetings and times of worship. The interns and alumni volunteers, who join with them in the work, are instrumental in helping this ministry and are laborers in the harvest field. Their work with this outreach is to share the Gospel and to serve the people of the community. Through their service, encouragement, prayer and support they have shaped this ministry into what it is today.
