Across the States
A crucial part of training at Mount Zion is the hands-on ministry experience the students receive. After graduation many of them volunteer to give another year of service. We are able to send interns and volunteer alumni to the nations, but we also have many ministries stateside that they work in.
Panama City, Florida - First Assembly of God | firstassemblypc.org
First Assembly of God Panama City desires to be an example of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and in deed. The interns and alumni volunteers are given the opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of children’s and youth ministry. They help with children and youth camps. They assist with the weekly teen outreach, as well as with the single mom’s ministry. They minister with smaller churches in the area by helping with Vacation Bible School. They are involved with the after school program for underprivileged children and mentoring teen boys. They are also instrumental in the church feeding and clothing program. The interns and alumni volunteers receive a versatile ministry experience, which also includes ministry within the local church, such as teaching Sunday School and helping to lead worship.
Highland Park, Michigan - Revival Tabernacle Church | revivaltab.org
Revival Tabernacle is located in Highland Park, MI, a city that is literally surrounded by Detroit. The vision of the church is to see people saved, healed, set free, equipped and empowered for ministry service for God and His kingdom. The alumni volunteers and interns who are sent there help with youth and children’s ministries. They assist with outreaches, Life groups, and discipleship. They also help with administration, maintenance, and assist in the bookstore.
Oxford, New Jersey - Mount Hope Camp | mthopeministry.org
Mount Hope Camp is a ministry to women and children who have come out of dysfunctional situations. The purpose of this ministry is to teach the women about God, learning His voice and His will for their lives. The interns and alumni help in many aspects of this ministry. They help with maintenance, assist in the kitchen, work with the teenagers, and help with homeschooling the children. The interns and alumni receive first-hand experience of seeing God heal, restore and transform the lives of women and children.

The volunteer alumni and interns serve a large and diverse congregation with a vast array of needs at Times Square Church in New York City. They are given the opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of a church. As interns, they will learn that ministry is much more than singing and preaching. The volunteer alumni and interns are challenged to step out of their ‘comfort zone’ and step in to the fast-paced environment of a church with ministries stretching worldwide. The general assignment will be to work in the offices of the church. They learn multiple skills that will become invaluable in future ministerial positions, regardless of size or location. They are involved with various projects and interact with people from different cultures, races and backgrounds.
Jacksonville, Texas - Father's Love
Father’s Love is a ministry that seeks to become involved with disadvantaged youth in order to teach them about Jesus. This is achieved through an outreach center that is open on a daily basis. The heart of the ministry is to develop relationships and provide opportunities for the youth. The alumni volunteers assist with the ministry by leading devotional times, personal discipleship with the youth, becoming involved with the youth and seeing what their personal (physical) needs are. In a nutshell, these volunteers play an important role in ministering to the youth both spiritually and physically.
