School Profile

Mount Zion International School of Ministry was founded by the Spirit of God, who birthed the vision in the heart of its president, Catherine Logan, in 1993. It was established through David Wilkerson Ministries, and in the fall of 1994, the first class entered the halls of Mount Zion International School of Ministry.

Since 1994, the faculty, staff, and student body have grown into a caring, devoted family with a burden for lost souls. Many alumni from Mount Zion International School of Ministry have taken the wonderful truth of intimacy with Christ around the country and to the nations and are making an impact wherever they are sent.

Vision & Purpose

Mount Zion International School of Ministry was birthed out of obedience to Jesus when He said, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few, pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

God is raising up laborers after His heart, people who will know who they are in Christ and know the voice of God for themselves. This is part of the vision of Mount Zion International School of Ministry: to raise up laborers who are fully yielded to the Lord and walking in love relationship with Him. In the beginning stages of Mount Zion International School of Ministry, the class was small but was also hungry to seek God and know His heart. God has been faithful to fulfill His Word, as those very same students, who came seeking nothing but to know and love God fully, have been sent out to various nations sharing the love of God.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” Matthew 28:19,20a

After Jesus rose from the dead, He commanded His disciples to go and teach all nations those things they received from Him. The same command applies today. But, in order to fulfill this command, we must first know the voice of God for ourselves. Mount Zion International School of Ministry has been raised up by the heart of God to prepare for Himself a people who will know their God intimately, who are willing to go through the fires of testing, and who will lay down their lives that the life of Christ may be manifest to everyone they come in contact with.

Not every student that attends Mount Zion International School of Ministry will go to the nations; some will return home and be lights to those who are without Christ and minister in the local church body. Our aim is to raise up people who are totally in love with Jesus, who know Him in a very personal and meaningful way and who walk in the authority of who they are in Christ.

During its beginning stages, the Lord revealed three distinct purposes for Mount Zion International School of Ministry:

1. To teach students who they are in Christ, and to develop an intimacy through prayer and worship, brokenness through the work of the Holy Spirit as He conforms them to Christ, obedience to the Word of God, and how to recognize His voice and walk in the Spirit of Christ.
    
2. To train and thoroughly equip men and women to make disciples for Christ throughout the world.
    
3. To send out those fully trained to make other disciples for Christ in the nation to which they are sent. The nationals will then spread the Gospel to their own people until the whole world is reached for Christ.
