Student Life

Student life at Mount Zion is an exciting time for students to grow spiritually. We offer a unique opportunity for students to “unplug” from the busyness and distractions of our culture and focus on deepening their relationship with Jesus.

Students begin their day at 6:00am with a time of personal devotions. Their day then continues with classes, which are held Monday–Friday. Each class is designed to guide students to grow in their knowledge of God, to equip them to think as a Christian, and to lovingly and effectively minister to others.

Along with the classes, chapels are held daily, where students hear from the staff, from each other and from guest speakers from around the world. Many students have testified to the tremendous spiritual growth they have experienced in their lives through these times.

Throughout the week there are various ministry outreaches that the staff, students and interns participate in within the community. Each student is involved in one of the following outreaches: nursing home, hospital visitation, children or teen ministry.

There are also many activities planned for the weekend. Students participate in the planned fellowships, shopping trips and seasonal activities, such as: volleyball, softball, fall bonfire, holiday celebrations, coffee houses, and much more. As students learn together, live together, have fun together and grow in their knowledge of Christ together, they are building strong bonds of friendship that will often last a lifetime.
